Dr. Valentin Fulga an accomplished entrepreneur and executive with almost 20 years of experience in the Biopharmaceutical and Medical Devices industry, with particular focus on cell therapy.Dr. Fulga successfully held various positions in several companies, starting out as a research scientist and ending up ias CEO. He is the founder of three biotechnology companies for which he raised over $20 million. A veteran in the regenerative medicine sector, he was co-founder of one of the first cell therapy companies, Proneuron Biotechnologies in 1997. He is now President and CEO of Hemostemix, a company developing adult stem cell treatments for cardiovascular and neurodegenerative disorders.
Dr. Fulga was granted the Technology Pioneer Award by the Geneva-based World Economic Forum and was a delegate to the Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos where he also moderated a session about tissue engineering. In 2005 he was listed as one of the 100 most influential people in Israel by the economic journal The Marker and was a runner-up in the “CEO of the Year Contest” for 2006.
Dr. Fulga is the inventor of 10 granted and pending patents and the author of thirteen scientific and medical articles. He has given numerous presentations at medical, scientific and business meetings and has been interviewed by many prestigious journals and electronic media, such as Time Magazine, Red Herring, and CBS’s Sixty Minutes.
