Incubators - A National Catalyst for Life Science Industry

Founder and former General Director of the Israeli Program of Technological Incubators, Rina Pridor currently runs a private consultanting firm, specialized in Technological Entrepreneurship, Technology Incubators, Technology Innovation and Transfer.

Rina Pridor is an attorney, graduate of the Hebrew University Law school in Jerusalem, and member of the Israeli Bar.
In the early Seventies she participated in establishing the Chief Scientist Office in the Ministry of Industry & Trade, as Chief Scientist Deputy.
In 1978 she moved to the private sector joining Worldtech Israel Ltd, a private company representing foreign investment in industrial R&D projects in Israel, and was appointed CEO of the company in 1984. Worldtech Ltd. raised large investment in the U.S. as seed money for hi-tech start ups in Israel. Among them were: Teledata, Comverse, Oshap/Robcad (Technomatics) and Lannet – today leading Hightech public companies.
In 1991 Rina Pridor rejoined the Chief Scientist Office of The Ministry of Industry and Trade in order to establish and operate the Technological Incubators program in Israel. In her capacity as founder and Director General of the  program, she was in charge of creating and implementing the program framework, setting objectives and rules, and managing and operating the Government support budget which ammounted to 40 milion dollars anually. 26 Technological Incubators are operational in Israel under this national program, which led to the creation of hundreds of technology based, innovative start-ups by novice inventors, scientists, and entrepreneurs.
Rina Pridor recently retired from the Government and runs a private business consulting companies, organizations and states in the fields of Technological Entrepreneurship, Technological Incubators, and Technology Innovation and Transfer.                               
She is member of the following committees:The Technion, Israel Institute of Technology - Board of Directors; ORT Israel Schools Network - Board of Directors; The Tel-Hai Academic College - Board of Trustees and managing committee; MIT Forum for Entrepreneurship – Israel; Women & Science Council – Ministry of Science & Technology; Young Entrepreneurs Israel – Board of Directors and Chairperson of Managing Committee; R&D National Council – Academia/Industry Colaboration committee.
